This price class (under $300) is still considered as lower price for circular saws. Keep in mind that cheaper circular saws, even at the $300 price can have limitations in terms of their power, functionality and build quality.  These lower end models are more suited to starting woodworkers or DIYers wanting to buy something to get them started. If you are not a beginner and are more of an intermediate or advanced user you may want to buy a model in a higher price bracket that has better power & more functions and will last longer.
